Tony Ward is an erotic art photographer receiving global notoriety with his stunning, provocative, controversial and highly acclaimed work. "Obsessions", Editions Stemmle, in which A.D. Coleman wrote an illuminating introduction and his latest book "Orgasm", Alixe, have claimed raving reviews in virtually every periodical that covers erotica, sighting his extensive contribution to the genre. Ward's photographs have appeared in Nerve, New York Magazine, Vibe, and were included in American PHOTO'S Collectors Issue, "The Best of Kisses", alongside those of twenty five noted twentieth century photographers. The prestigious European publications Max, Stern, German Manner-Vogue, Novum, Photographie, Profifoto, fotoMAGAZINE, Photo Technique International, and Australian black+white and blue have all featured his work editorially. Japan's Commercial Photo published a long series in color. Leading galleries in Paris, New York, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Kyoto and Philadelphia have held extremely well received exhibits of his work. In 1997 Ward was nominated for an Eisie Award and was featured in the April/98 issue of Life Magazine. In 98, Ward was presented with the LeadAward for the erotic photograph of the year, "Slit with Tit."

Penthouse Magazine provides Tony Ward a venue to showcase his erotic obsessions. Commencing with the September 1996 27th Anniversary issue, many lengthy pictorials have been published to date. Tony is continually exploring his vision to redefine the Penthouse pictorial. Transcending the stigmas that the mainstream art world applies to erotica is another of Ward's ongoing objectives. "Everyone can recognize a good drawing when they see one so why can't we achieve a universal understanding of what a really good photograph is, regardless of the subject matter?"

Tony Ward was born in 1955 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, attained a Bachelor of Science in Arts Education in 1977 from Millersville University and a Master of Fine Arts from The Rochester Institute of Technology in 1979. He currently lives with his wife and business partner Sandy and their three children in Philadelphia.
