Tattoo Tribe and The Vanishing Tattoo was proud to sponsor the Tattoo Photo Contest that had a monthly prize of $500 with the top Tattoo Photo of the Year winning a Grand Prize of $2,500!

After almost two years we have decided that the Tattoo Tribe Tattoo Photo Contest has run its course. We had hoped that over time that we would get increasing numbers of photos and people participating. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case, and in many instances we have not had enough contestants in a given period to award the monthly prize. The contest has officially ended as of September, 2007.

We will continue to feature the work of photographers who spotlight models with tattoos in interesting ways. If you are a photographer with a body of work that you think qualifies please send samples of your work! We would be happy to put up a Gallery of your images in a Guest Photographer's Gallery, which we will continue on the web site. That Gallery would have a short biographical profile about you and your work and a link directly to your web page.

Thank you for your interest. Our decision is certainly no reflection on the memorable work of the many photographers who participated. There simply wasn't enough of you!!

PHOTO CONTEST GUIDELINES
We were looking for photography that illuminates body art, showed models with tattoos in an artistic or revealing manner, caused us to pause and take a step back to reconsider what we see.
