Amelia G and Forrest Black are best know for founding Blue Blood, the original counterculture erotic magazine of the nineties. They first took up a camera in order to shoot for their own magazine and their first subjects were real life romantic couple who fit their counterculture aesthetic of what Amelia and Forrest found beautiful. As they shot cool people in general, it is not surprising that many of their subjects had unusual and artfully executed piercings and tattoos.

Once they developed their distinctive style, Forrest and Amelia branched out to shoot for other publications who understood the beauty of the people they were photographing. Forrest and Amelia have shot for pretty much every issue of Tattoo Savage since 1997 and their work has been featured by everyone from MTV to Playboy.

Gothic Sluts is a special place on the web for Blue Blood's founders. For a while, Forrest and Amelia photographed their friends for men's magazines and their models temporarily took out their piercings, put Dermablend on their tattoos, and covered their mohawks with wigs. Gothic Sluts was first launched on a whim after an editor at a men's magazine they had submitted to turned down a photo set of a busty Gothic girl saying the nude photos were too "pretty and elegant."

A lot of people shoot subculture like they are going to the zoo with a sort of look-at-the-freaks mentality. Forrest and Amelia shoot with an eye to expressing the powerful beauty and passion which first attracted them to step outside the mainstream themselves. Gothic Sluts is the site where they can showcase erotic photo sets of Gothic girls, where the girls can really be themselves. And being able to express your true self sexually and otherwise is a very special and wonderful thing indeed.
