JAIME (James) KING

Jaime King (born April 23, 1979) is an American film actress and model. In her modeling career and early film roles, she went by the names Jamie King and most especially James King, which was a childhood nickname given to King by her parents, because her agency already represented another Jaime, then-more famous model Jaime Rishar. King, because of the latter name, is sometimes referred to as the "Model with a man's name".

She was in most major magazines including three covers of American Cosmopolitan--all in one year. Appeared in not-so-huge movies (Four Faces of God, The Happy Campers and Bar Hop). James has small roles in the following 2001 movies: Blow, Pearl Harbour and The Beauty Loop. Was guest host of MTV's House of Style.

The Sin City star currently sports her name, a star and a fairy on her back and a diamond and spade on her wrists. In an interview with Inked magazine, King reveals the Emily Dickinson quote she wants permanently etched: "If I can stop one heart from breaking. I shall not live in vain; If I can ease one life the aching; or cool one pain, or help one fainting robin unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain." But King admits there are drawbacks to her body art: "As an actor, you have to spend a lot of time in the make-up chair covering them up."

James has both of her nipples and her tongue pierced with silver bars. James has been quite public in magazines about the fact that she was addicted to heroin from age fourteen to nineteen. She was turned on to heroin on her first modeling job at age fourteen (she dropped out of school at age 14 to pursue modeling). James went to rehab at age nineteen. Her mother, Nancy, is a former beauty queen.
