#9 - Ian Somerhalder (Actor, December 8th, 1978)

If vampires interest your appetite for lust and inspire sharp teeth, then we’ve got a charming gent named Ian Somerhalder to add to your “To Bite” list. Somerhalder is an American fashion model and actor known for his roles in the television series Lost and The Vampire Diaries. He recently defeated fellow Twilight vamp, Robert Pattinson in a “Sexy Beast” poll lead by Entertainment Weekly. To paraphrase the film Zoolander he is “really really ridiculously good looking”. Come on Ian, give us your best Blue Steel! Off screen, Somerhalder was the first celebrity to become actively involved in the cleanup after the Deepwater Horizon rig oil spill, which included rehabilitating oiled wildlife. It seriously melts our hearts to think about this young man cleaning oil off of birds and mammals from the Gulf Coast. What a sweetheart. Currently, Ian has a tiny cross tattoo on his ankle and a tattoo on his arm that reads, “Here and Now”, a sage reminder to live in the moment. >> pictures
